Ice Skating

Today we went Ice Skating. I’ve always wanted to go ice skating but don’t remember ever going as a child. I did go skating a lot with cousins but never got to ice skate. I’ve always thought their was just something so beautiful about ice skating. Kevin and I have been thinking of putting Avery into ice skating but we are still trying to figure out what she likes. As of now she tells us she like basket ball, ballet, tap, hip hop, karate, and soft ball. I’m still not sure what we should do and if we could afford it I would have in her all of them.

She’s for sure a sporty and girlie  kind of girl. she loves to do the girlie thing but never scared to get down and dirty with boys or even get rough with the boys. Avery has two friends who like to get rough and dirty with her and that’s Olivia and Vanessa.

My mom decided to go and at the same time we had our first ride on the Ferris wheal. She wanted to go so bad. I wasn’t really into it at first but my mom made sure to talk to me so I wouldn’t think about how high it was.

Avery did great ice skating and what’s really cool is they have double blades for beginners. They sure didn’t have that for the adults and after going around once with her I had to stop. My legs hurt so bad I couldn’t’ go anymore. But Avery kept going around and around and around.

My little Ballerina

Avery has been in tap and balle for almost two yers now. She looks forward to every Saturday class and being able to see her friends. Since 2008 she’s grown so much!

Kevin and I enjoy and look forward to parent observation day. It’s when the parents get to observe what the kids have learned from that point. Watching how much Avery has grown in this class has been amazing. Yet again, another reason to love being a parent.

Vanessa Cookie Party

Today wasn’t like any other day. We had been planning and looking forward to going to Vanessa’s house to hang out with all of our friends for a cookie decorating party. Avery got to decorate cookies, she was able to have first pick of what tin she wanted to put her cookies in for Santa! Once everyone arrived we had some great food, wine, decorated cookies, and even watched the girls and adults open gifts.  At the end of the day it turned out to be a great party!

Thank you Vanessa!
