Recital Pictures

Today was Avery’s recital pictures. My little bug couldn’t have looked more beautiful in her little white dress her sleepy grandma bought her. I’m not the biggest fan of her recital outfit this year but her and Vanessa can still rock it pretty well. Maybe it’s just because of who they are. They do make the outfit and don’t allow it to make them!!!!! I have to say my man looked pretty damn good in his suite to…YUMMY!

Here are a few shots I took before they had to take their pictures…enjoy!

Test run

So, it’s time for recital pictures and both Avery and Vanessa do not have curly hair. This year they are asking for it to be half up, half down, with curls. Well Avery has hair that has some curl to it but not as much as I would like for the pictures.

So Michelle and I decided to do a trial run at sponge curls and see what the girls hair would  look like after. We figured out that the girl’s need way more than three hours for it to set. We also realized a blow dryer would work a lot better to. So this test run didn’t work out as great but we learned from what we did wrong this time and wont be making the same mistakes again.

I can say the girls were both team players. They sat still and tried not to do anything for the whole three hours. If you know anything about a four year old or better yet a four year old with her friend asking them not to play for three hours was torture. But they did it!

Good job Avery and Vanessa!

Walk in the Park

Part of Avery’s homework her thrid week of school was to take a “Walk in the Park” with her family and draw a picture of what she seen. This time we decided to go to a really beautiful park in Tustin that has great things to see and a wonderful trail to follow while seeing all the great animal life, and beautiful plants.

During this little walk we took as a family we first decided to stop at a bench and eat out lunch. Daddy prepared lunch for the girls and to my surpise he was so cute! He took the cute little lunch bags titi Navy baught Avery and put their little nick names on the bags. He also packed the perfect snacks, and prepared their sandwiches the way I do. He couldn’t have made a more perfect lunch for his little girls. After we ate lunch we started our little walk. Arianna wanted to push her stroller that is tw times bigger than her, but I let her do it anyways. Avery and Kevin were just ahead of us and staring at a lizard, a few feet after the lizard they spottend another lizard behind a rabbit. After that we walked a little more and spotted a beautiful bird singing, and some beautiful flowers. All and all we had a great time and after we found another bench for Avery to sit and draw what she seen.

Enjoy!

Avery’s 2nd, and Arianna’s 1st…

Getting the call to remind us it was time for Avery’s next Dental visit was great…remember to make an apt for Arianna wasn’t as easy, but daddy remembered our doctor said it was a good idea to take Arianna in. Once Kevin called me to tell me I just put it in my schedule and forgot about it. Kevin reminds me a day before and tells me Arianna is going too. I was so scared for her. I’ve been worried about to small chips she has on her two front teeth. They are really small, you can only see them if you look really close. I thought their was a chance they where cavities…YES…cavities. I’ve always been big with teeth. I took extra care of mine all my life. I’ve only had one cavity in my life and no thanks to a chip my tooth got from a tongue piecing that created a cavity that’s the only reason I have one.

I’ve been hoping I’ll be proud to say the same for my girls. I try to remember to brush their teeth twice a day sometimes three times a day. I don’t allow them to eat sweets, or fast food more than once a week…if that. Processed food can cause cavities to. I think your smile, and your teeth say a lot about a person when you first meet them.

So we picked Avery up from school and headed straight for the Dentist. Avery’s not scared of the Dentist at all. In Fact she looks forward to it. Arianna on the other hand didn’t understand really what was going on. First it was Avery’s turn. It was quick, easy, and she even got a high five for having such clean teeth…no cavities here!!!! Once it was her turn to be in the chair she really didn’t like what was goin on and was really upset set. It was so hard I had to sit in the chair with her. Daddy took some pictures of her getting her teeth checked, and cleaned. At the end I feel both girls did great. They each got new tooth past, and tooth brush, and we where all ready to go home.

Lilo’s 6th Birthday party

The girls look forward to just about any family gathering we have. I’m lucky enough to have the family I do and what’s great is it seams that we’ve had our kids all around the same time so they are only a few years apart. We all enjoy sitting back and watching them bother each other, laugh with each other, and even pick on one another. It’s all part of being family and loving one another. I wouldn’t change my family for anything in the world. My girls are lucky to have a total of 18 cousins, only two live out of state and the other 16 live in the OC. We all live close enough to hang out and let the kids just play and enjoy. Out of that 16 only four are the older kids and the others are only a few years apart.

This was a fun party that my cousin Josh put together for his little princess. He’s a great father and loves his little girl so much. It’s so great to see my single father cousin do what he does for his kids. He truly is an awesome dad. Here are a few pictures of my family and the girls having fun.

Enjoy!

My Mothers Day

Today Kevin decided to just make Mother’s Day all about me. He tried as hard as he could to keep the girls from me so I could relax and catch up on my Tivo. When Kevin asked me what I wanted for Mother’s Day I really just wanted to enjoy the day with my family. I know money is tight so something simple is all I really need. I think it’s really all Mother’s could ask for. I had all my meals prepared for me, asked what I wanted down to how many tomatoes on my sandwich. My girls just hung out with me in our big Cal-King bed and we watched TV, ate, and hung out together as a family.

During our fun together in the room Avery told me “look mommy I got your nose” I said “huh” she said “mommy, your not looking at me. Look at me and watch me. See, I got your nose (as she pinched my nose between her little fingers)” me “oh, I get it love. So you have my nose, Are you going to give it back to me?” She sat and thought about it for a while, She tells me “OK, I’ll give it back to you mom” I just love the things that come out of my children’s mouths!

I couldn’t have asked for a better Mother’s Day! Oh, I forgot to mention a great card from my hubby, an even better card from my girls, and a sexy hot pink i pod since my other one was stolen.

Thank you honey!

Just a another day

Today I did what I do every day. I woke up, got both girls ready, and out the door we went. Since I’m not working right now I like to wake up extra early, watch some TV with the girls, laugh, play, and just have fun before it’s time to take Avery to school. Getting up early leaves me with a lot of time to get both girls ready and enjoy their time with mommy. We try to let daddy sleep but both girls love to wake daddy up so sometimes it works and others it just doesn’t.

Today I just decided to take the camera with me and see what the girls did. You know, kind a sit back and watch what they did. It was fun to watch!  Avery loves pushing her little sister in the stroller and just listening to Arianna say “fasser sister, fasser” is what being a mommy is all about. It’s moments like this that make me feel better about life and how lucky I am to have two beautiful, healthy little people in my life.

Trip to Titi Star’s

I promised my god son, and my niece I would come by on Sat and buy them a small gift. I had forgotten to get Kiana one for her Birthday in March, and my god son’s birthday was coming up at the end of this month. So I decided to get it out of the way while I had a little big of cash and bought them a small gift.

Before we headed out to do what was going to be a simple day we hung out at titi Star’s new place. The kids has some fun in the yard and even found a rollie pollie. Kiana kept on playing with it and Avery just watched her play with it. Sometimes she likes bugs and other times she doesn’t.  It was such a beautiful day I decided to put an outfit my friend Gezal had bought for her for her last birthday. I loved the outfit as soon as we took it out of the bag. I’m a huge Pumpkin Patch fan so when I saw where it was from I was so excited. For her to have been such a tom-boy growing up she can sure pick out a great outfit.

Enjoy!

My first school made Mothers Day gift

Today I picked Avery up from school and she handed me a cute little purple tissue paper bag, with a really cute heart tag on it. It ready “I love you mom, and my mom takes me a bath” I think what I loved about it the most was the fact that the very night before Kevin had given the girls a bath and I’ve not really done it for them in a month. I used to do it all the time so I’m thinking that’s what she was talking about it. Never the less it was a great gift. Once I opened it I had some M&M, pretzels, and yogurt raisins.

Thank you buggie!

Ruby’s Dinner after shot and blood

We decided to take the girls out for some food since they had been asking to eat for the past 20 min we had to wait for everything. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Ruby’s and I used to love to get soup and salad at least once a week. Yes, that was before I had kids and had a lot of extra money.

The girls got a cute menu that was 3D and it was so funny to watch their reactions to what they seen after they put the glasses on.

Enjoy!
