Once Avery was enrolled in school we were asked to provide a full physical exam of Avery. We were handed a packet to give to her doctor. We made an appointment for both girls since Arianna needed her 18 month exam. Might as well kill two birds with one stone!
Little did the girls know that they were both going to get shots. The physical exam required a recent blood test, and we wanted Arianna to get checked for allergies to anything. During the doctor visit Avery got a shot in her arm and a skin test. I forget the name of it but she was really not to happy about that one. Once we were done and Arianna got her three shots it was time to go to another location were they did the blood work. This was Avery’s second time getting blood drown. The first time she was only 18 months and she did great! When I say great I mean, she didn’t even cry or move her arm. She just gave the guy who was drawing the blood a very dirty look and said ouch. It was actually sad and cute at the same time. That was the first time I knew they drew blood they same way the do an adult. The only difference is the size of needle and the rubber band they use is smaller.
That wasn’t the case the second time around for Avery, and the first time around for Arianna. I did feel bad that they had already received shots but I didn’t want to have them be in pain in a few days again. I wanted to get it all out of way. Daddy did great with both girls as I sat back and took some pictures. Daddy rocks and is for sure a team player. Mommy can’t do that kind of stuff. I start to cry and feel so bad.
