Divani’s 3rd Birthday

Today was Dee’s 3rd birthday. For my brother and his girlfriend it seamed as if his birthday came to fast for them to prepare to get a party together. Never the less I felt as an aunt I shouldn’t forget his birthday and I should still make it special for him some how. I went to Cold Stone and got him a yummy ice cream cake, bought some candles, and bought him a toy gun, and cool ball.

I took the girls over so we could all sing happy birthday to him and just make him feel a little special. I’ve always felt that no matter what is going on, no matter what age you are, someone loves you and should make you feels special on that one day a year you get that is dedicated to your birth. Yes, others may have that same birthday as you, but you can still have that special momment to feel special. Even if only for one momment!!!

Mommys’ little bakers!

Today we decided to put our little chef hats on and start making some “healthy Pita, Veggie Pizza” that we love so so much! I try to make this with the girls every other week. I wish I had the time to always have the girls help me make dinner but some days I’m so tired it’s just faster for me to just do it really quick and be able to sit down as a family right after. Today was one of those days momy didn’t have much to do in the house and had enough time to clean what ever mess the girls would creat.

I got everything ready, cut, cleaned, and prepped for the girls to go to town! First I gave them a spoon to smooth out the souce, after they started to sprikle the cheese. Although it was more in the middle of the pizza mommy helped out a little and spead it out. after that we had some green and red peppers cut really small, some mushrooms, and of course they wanted a little more cheese. After that mommy put all four little mini pizzas in the oven and turned the light on so they could see them cook. I should have taken a shot of that but I was pooped after cleaning the kitchen.

After the pizza was ready I took the pizza out, we called daddy to cut the pizza, and daddy and I sat down to have the girls come and serve us. Of course I had to take a few shots of the girls having fun..enjoy!

Visit to Clare’s House

This had already been a busy weekend for the Chaney household. Mommy had two shoots during the week and we had a wedding to go to, and a lot of family to see. We got the chance to Visit Clares house for a BBQ the day after uncle Dougs wedding. It was nice to just hang with the family. Avery got to see Rileyon whom she loves so much! Every time  see these two together I get so sad that Riley isn’t in the same state anymore. When she was Avery was so little it didn’t count. They had only seen each other a few times and she was already off to another state. But the good thing about Matt and Stacy being true California kids they always come back. Since than the girls get to see each other once or twice a year. It’s great to see their faces since they actually remember each other and have such fun.

It so happened that the second time I got pregnant with Arianna, Erin was pregnant with Clare, and Stacy had just had Reagon. So when we visited aunt Erin’s house Arianna got to spend time with Clare. Too bad Reagon was missing but we can’t wait to see her for Christmas this year.

Splash II

We’ve made a few visits to splash this year and I can honestly say I’m sad the summer is gone, and I’m sad this summer didn’t feel like summer! It was nice to have friends who enjoyed the park as much as we do and it was nice to have people to go with that had season passes to. What I loved the most, was being able to go when ever we wanted and even if it was just for a few hours, we still got to go and watch teh girls have fun.

It was so nice to go as often as we did it only took Arianna two visits to start going to the water slide on her own. She didn’t even want help when we offered to go with her. My girls are growing so fast and it’s nice to see Arianna want to be like her big sister.

Splash…

This trp to Splash was short and sweet. We decided to come when Jennessy asked what we had planned for the day. Being that titi Jennessy has Londyn who has a lot of energy and doesn’t get out much with kids her age we all decided since it’s around the corner, and we all have passes why not cool down with some fun in the sun and let the kids have fun!

These two are such hams and do great in front of the camera. We have so much fun watching them play, and get mad at each other we just can’t get enough!

Cheyenne’s 15

Oh my god, could it be that I’ve been around since this little one was only three years old? about 11 1/2 years ago I was introduced to a beautiful little girl, who now my little girls look a lot alike. She was so sweet, so smart, and such a joy to be around. She really did light up the room. Her smile till this day just takes my breath away. I can say she reminds me so much of her dad, and she get’s her style from her mom!

Today was Cheyenne’s 15th birthday. We decided to stop by her house for a min just so we could all wish her a happy birthday and give her a gift from all of us. Although Cheyenne is getting to be a young lady now she’ll always be that sweet little girl I met years ago. I’ll never forget what she said to me and those beautiful long curls. Kevin can never stop talking about how proud he is of his little girl, and how MarieSame has done such a great job with her. Although she’s getting those stages in life that I’m not sure what tude kids have now, I’m sure Cheyenne wont be like the others. To be quite honest, she’s always been a few years ahead of her time.

I was able to snap a shot before the original picture was going to be taken and cought daddy spelling Chey’s hair. It was so funny, she looked at her dad for a min and was like “huh, what are you doing” it was so funny, and I’m glad I got a shot of both of them smiling and laughing. Enjoy!

First Day of school…TOGETHER!

I’ve been fortunate to be able to have both girls in school now. It was time to give mommy a break after work, and let daddy have time to get his school work done. School leaves me with just enough time to go to the gym, clean the house, prep dinner, and have a snack ready for them when they walk in the door.

I’ve been looking forward to this day for a while now and I can’t wait to see how much my girls excel in school. I know Avery will do great, Arianna will do great but I can see her having a small problem with knowing Avery is in the same building but a different location. The first day we decided to take them once I got off work. I get off at 10:30am and I didn’t want to miss this for anything. Once I got home, I just had to get the girls dressed and it was off to school!

Once we arrived to the school, Avery was excited to meet new kids, and Arianna kind of didn’t really understand what was going on. She was excited but didn’t know why. I was only able to take a few pictures since I didn’t want to interrupt the classes. Once we walked in both Avery and Arianna didn’t know where to start. They loved everything and enjoyed all the teachers coming up and introducing themselves to them. Avery was walked into her class and had to introduce herself to her class. It was so cute to see the kids say “hi Avery” I wish I could have captured that smile on her face…it was priceless! We said good by to Avery and walked Arianna to her class. This was strange, she walked into the class as if she’s seen this place before. She walked it, asked to be seated on a high chair, and asked for a snack (since it was snack time). I couldn’t believe she was OK with all of this and when she seen us walk away she just said “goo by” and walked and sat in an empty seat at the table. I was shocked, sad, and happy at the same time. My little Monkey is growing up so fast and I’m thinking of how bad I want another one!

Avery’s Four!

My little girl isn’t so little anymore!

Although I enjoy putting together a fun Birthday party I have to say I’m always a little sad. I know growing up is a part of life and it’s something that can’t be stopped. I just don’t know how I’m going to top one party after the other, keep up with their new favorites, and try to make them happy for each birthday. On top of all of that, I’m sad to see my little girl grow up. Avery is an amazing little girl.

From the moment she broke my water, came out six weeks early, and latched on faster than I even thought possible, this little girl is still so full of suprises. I know I haven’t seen anything yet. She’s been talking since she was 9 months old, being able to repeat what everyone around her said at 11 months old, and actually knowing how to use the word shortly after. She’s so smart, bold, dramatic, honest, and fun to be around! All this, at the the young age of four? Oh my goodness…what am I going to do?

This year I didn’t have as much cash as I would like to have for her birthday, so I made it simple, fun, and affordable. I still decorated, everyone had goody bags, everyone left with a beach ball, and I even made the decorations on the cupcakes. Not to mention I also made the cake (after daddy baked it). I didn’t invite as many people or expect everyone to come since it was on a Sat. I was ok with sweet, simple, and fun. I had food, and just about everything ready on time. I was able to enjoy myself, play with Avery, and even hang out with my cousins after we all cleaned up. This was a party to remember! Avery got just about everything she wanted for her birthday. What ever she didn’t get she’s going to buy with all the cash she received. I know Avery appreciates more than anything in the world is being able to hang out with the people who love her the most!

Thank you titi Moni and Uncle Justin for letting us use your pool, and house again!

Splash….

This perfect little water park in the middle of La Mirada was found by an old friend. I was never aware of it, and loved it the second I saw it last year. I think I came about 5 times last year and knew once it opened for next summer I was going to have season passes for sure. I made it a point to buy our season passes in Feb. I couldn’t wait for summer to come.

Once we had time to go and the weather was finally at it’s best, we decided to take the girls to Splash for a few hours. I couldn’t wait to see the reaction on the girls face.  Of course, Avery has memories of coming to Splash with Olivia and Mya, so not having them there was a shock to her!  I didn’t think she remembered that far back. She remembered every little detail. Down to how many times her and Olivia went on the slide, the name of the water park, how many times she came, and who she came with. I couldn’t believe it!  Arianna was really little at the time so she didn’t get to enjoy it as much last year. But this year, she was running straight to the water. Both Arianna and Avery ran to the water before I even had time to put the vest on them. I had to run behind them, put the best on in mid run. Once I got them on, Arianna was a little scared to go too far into the water.  Avery was already running up to the slides.

An every day, or just a family outing isn’t a family outing with out mommies camera! I, of course took a few shots of the girls having fun.

Clare is turning two!

Today Clare turns the big TWO! It wouldn’t be a Drake/Vaughn party if Erin didn’t go all out. She had a pony ride, a small petting zoo, Dorothy, and even a photographer. My girls where super excited to get to the park and couldn’t wait for all the fun activities to start. Both girls got to pet some animals…LOVED IT! I made sure to have both girls ride the pony. Arianna wasn’t as big of a fan as I thought she would have been, but having daddy on her side made it a little fun! Avery of course loved it and acted as if she’s done this a million times before. I can say she’s been on a pony at least 7 times in her four years of living so I’m guessing for a child who doesn’t take classes that could be a lot. Although Erin had a paid photographer at the party I wanted to take a few snaps. I’m still working on my photography and any little bit helps. I know what it’s like to spend so much time making sure everyone else is happy you don’t have time to enjoy the party or even take a break. I thought it would be special to provide some pictures for her to have and do with them as she pleased.

Here are a few snapshots!
